a) Topic: the influence of technology and science on our lives.


Technology:
The definition for technology is the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science.( http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/technology).
Science:
The definition of science is a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws: the mathematical sciences. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/science).
Reflexivity:
The definition for reflexivity is the idea that a person's thoughts and ideas tend to be inherently biased. In other words, the values and thoughts of a person will be represented in their work. (http://www.answers.com/topic/reflexivity-in-math).
Technicism:
The definition for technicism is an over reliance or overconfidence in technology as a benefactor of society. Taken to the extreme, some argue that technicism is the belief that humanity will ultimately be able to control the entirety of existence using technology. In other words, human beings will eventually be able to master all problems, supply all wants and needs, and possibly even control the future. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technicism).

Face book for me I us every day to see what is happening in the people close to me lives and also a part of my social live to see what events are going the weekend . What face book can describe about me is that I’m an outgoing social guy.

The internet is for me a real source in my life finding out what going on in the world today and also to get information on assignments and also to find place I never heard before, it also helps me to see new things that is brought out, technological things.
My source of transport use it every day to go to class and to drive wherever I want to go making life so much easier.

With my cell phone its basically my life all my friends are on their I can receive and call people anytime of the day, social networks like bbm keeping me close to family and friends for no cost, some of my diary is typed on my phone and when not close to my computer I can easily go onto the internet and search for things also going onto other social networks.



All the electronics in my house such as the television, oven, microwave, my drawing tablet, computer all the stuff that makes my life easier and better in a way no more buying the newspaper I can just watch the news on the television, my drawing tablet for drawing directly onto the computer without scanning images in, technology made my life better I can’t imagine what it will be like without a car or a cell phone how we communicate today with the internet and social networks, it just makes it so much fun.
